Tea has been on the list for good health benefits for centuries getting on the bandwagon can be a difficult start especially when being raised in Sweet Tea! But here’s some good reasons to get it on your daily must do’s if living to 100 feeling fine is a goal for you.

I have listed my favorite below, not so much in flavor but in bountiful results. I drink that along with Chamomile, ginger, lavender and butterfly flowers, dandelion and pine needles on a regular basis. I challenge you to venture out and find your favorites…

Why should you start drinking tea?

Antioxidant Properties:

Tea contains polyphenols, such as flavonoids and catechins, which act as antioxidants that protect cells from damage caused by free radicals.

Reduced Risk of Chronic Diseases:

Studies suggest that regular tea consumption may reduce the risk of chronic diseases, including heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.

Improved Cardiovascular Health:

Tea may help lower blood pressure, improve cholesterol levels, and reduce inflammation in the arteries, contributing to better cardiovascular health.

Enhanced Brain Function:

The caffeine and L-theanine content in tea can improve alertness, focus, and cognitive function.

Weight Management:

Some studies indicate that tea may promote weight loss by boosting metabolism and reducing appetite.

Stress Reduction:

L-theanine in tea has calming and relaxing effects, which can help reduce stress and anxiety.

Improved Bone Health:

Tea contains fluoride and calcium, which are essential for maintaining strong bones.

Other Benefits:

Tea may also improve digestion, boost the immune system, and promote better sleep.

It’s important to note that the specific health benefits of tea may vary depending on the type of tea (e.g., green, black, white) and the amount consumed. Additionally, some studies have shown mixed results, and more research is needed to confirm all potential benefits.
